The Evolution of SGW Entertainment

It all started back in November of 2016. I was ordained as a minister of non-denomination to assist another officiant with another brand. Ways were parted and I had a choice to make, either stop or move forward and see what happens? Looking to how I can brand this new creation I wanted everyone to know that my brand would welcome all couples without judgement or discrimination who wanted to be joined in matrimony.

Now what do I call this new brand? I wanted the world to know that it was non-denominational, yet simple like from a time of long ago with a spin of today's generation. Hence the name Simple Ceremonies of Northeast Pa. So, a website and Facebook was created and launched on January 1st, 2016. February 21, 2016 under the new brand we performed our first home ceremony in Nanticoke Pa.

As time went on I met another ordained minister who was starting out doing weddings as well. Her name was Sarah amd she had a wedding officiant service called Why Knot Weddings. So, a new friendship was formed, eventually Why Knot Weddings became part of Simple Ceremonies and we continued with one brand.

So it begins.

As time went on our popularity grew to where we received and continue to book weddings to where we had to bring in another wedding officiant. Wanting to expand our ceremony services I reached out to Minister Michelle who knows the ways of the Wiccan faith to offer a different experience to more couples. Minister Michelle continues to provide simple ceremonies as well.

As time went on, in the winter of 2018 something happened that changed me forever. It all started with a quick trip across the bridge into Pittston where one cold Saturday night I went to the local Burger King and did a short video showing off the Whopper meal. That video started a trend with friends and coworkers asking me to check out different places like Subway and KFC. Now getting positive feedback from my personal Facebook page I decided to create a food and reviews page that currently has over 1000 followers which keeps growing daily, what started out as Wyoming Valley Reviews is now SGW Food & Reviews.

Now as this was going on Sarah had to take a step back due to some personal issues going on which needed her attention. After being on hiatus she is back with not just a passion for performing weddings, she launched her photography service named after her children called GNK Photography NEPA. As time evolves so do we and the three brands came together to form SGW's Events & Entertainment Vendor Connection.
